Judge & Priestley's first three months in Chislehurst.

It is just over three months since Judge & Priestley announced the acquisition of the business interests of the Chislehurst based solicitor’s practice of Preston Mellor Harrison (PMH)and in that time we have been very busy in BR7.

Through May we worked with the retiring partners at PMH to hand over more than 150 on-going live matters to appropriate solicitors from the Judge & Priestley team and communicate and meet with our new customers. We also performed an audit of all the historical documents and files lodged with PMH and physically moved all of the associated documentation to J&P’s secure storage facilities.  

In June we closed the former PMH offices at 30 High Street, Chislehurst, BR7 5AS for an overdue refurbishment and redecoration project that took the full month to complete. In addition we started the larger task of contacting over 2,500 historical clients of PMH who had historical personal or business documents lodged with the practice to advise them of the change of ownership.

July saw the re-opening of the 30 High Street, Chislehurst offices with a bright and airy new look complete with Judge & Priestley branding. Members of our Residential Conveyancing, Wills and Probate, Property Litigation and Marketing teams moved from Bromley into the new space in Chislehurst and have been settling in and getting to know their new neighbours on Chislehurst High Street.

We also joined the Chislehurst Business Group and celebrated the move to Chislehurst with a successful launch party for local business people and charitable representatives at the Bulls Head Hotel on Royal Parade, BR7 6NR. So it has been a busy first three months for Judge & Priestley in Chislehurst but our most important task is to welcome the new customers we have added from PMH in a wide variety of locations across South East London and Kent including: Chislehurst (BR7), Blackheath (SE3), Bexley (DA5), Dartford (DA1), Eltham (SE9), Greenwich (SE10), Lee (SE12), Mottingham (SE12), Orpington (BR5 & BR6), Petts Wood (BR5), Sidcup (DA14 & DA15), and Welling (DA16).
